Adding properties to subject types

In this guide we will briefly show you the steps to add properties to a subject type. Remember that an important prerequisite to this guide is that you have already created a property. If you have not yet created a property, please follow the guide to learn how to create a property.

In the example below, we have already created a location property in our Blockbax project, and we would now like to add the property to a subject type, namely a Temperature sensor. This subject type does not have a metric that sends the location, hence we would like to enrich this subject type with location information.

1. Navigate to "Subjects"

2. Click "Types"

3. Click to edit an existing subject type

4. Click "Add property"

5. Select the "Location" property created in the previous step and click "Add property".
