Caeli™’s journey from prototype to proven innovation in greenhouse climate control

In the quest to revolutionize greenhouse climate control, Caeli™ develops an innovative solution aimed at optimizing temperature and humidity levels to enhance crop yields. Recognizing the significant impact of these variables on plant growth, the Caeli team reimagined greenhouse construction to achieve uniform climate conditions throughout the entire space.

The Caeli™ system features smart ventilation units installed on each greenhouse column at plant level. These compact ventilators draw air through the greenhouse structure, distributing it evenly around the crops to maintain a consistent climate.

Equipped with temperature and humidity sensors, each unit enables localized climate control, creating a complex monitoring and control network unparalleled in modern horticulture. This approach not only ensures a homogeneous environment but also enhances dehumidification by channelling dry air from above the screen to the crop level without obstructing light.

An advanced algorithm facilitates fully autonomous climate adjustments, providing growers with real-time insights and control over their greenhouse conditions.

From prototype to proven innovation

The journey from concept to product involved extensive research and development, particularly in integrating hardware innovations with sophisticated software systems.

On one hand, this meant finding a way to build and incorporate the ventilation system with valves and ventilators in the humid greenhouse conditions. On the other hand, it required connecting the system to a platform capable of integrating the management algorithm, as well as monitoring and asset management.

By leveraging Blockbax technology from the project’s inception, Caeli successfully accelerated their time to market.
